Hello, Good timing we started to talk about the EDAP last night at the energy group meeting.
discussions were on what is it? how does it look like? and how do we go about it?
In short answers which we agreed on are
it is a plan for all transition groups (not just energy)
We think it will be composed of several pieces; a main document with targets and strategies (present, vision of the future and how to get there...) and ways of presenting the information; posters, media, information sheets, toolkit etc...
Next energy meeting (26/11) we will be doing an energy vision for forest row.

MIke and I started talking about the EDAP and realised we need to get together! We provisionally said Wednesday 12th Nov 8pm at Mikes house.... What does it look like? I think that is up to us to quite an extent. Yes, it was the comments of Annette's re a 'toolkit' type EDAP in the energy group minutes and also the idea we had had in the food group of sending out the local food directory as part of the EDAP.

Just as we were talking I realised we needed to get on with the directory a little quicker than I was thinking if it is all going to come together for correct timing with the grant.

Yep, count me in. Lots to do, so little time... I've put Nov. 12th in my diary.
Helped facilitate a fascinating day on electric cars this week... the Transport Secretary opened the day by announcing they expect 2 billion cars in the world by 2025, 10% of which will be electric. Hmmm, I wonder. What kind of compelling vision can we come up with? I look forward to bouncing some ideas around with you all.

Hi all. I cannot make 12th November as starting neutral mask evening class with Phil Beaven then. In that week I think I've got Tues 11/11 free? As well as fixing first EDAP meeting, perhaps Energy Group can welcome all in EDAP group to our Energy Group Energy-EDAP 'visioning' [free reign with imagination]evening on Wednesday 26 November. Please let Nir and Ning know if you are coming.

This website has some interesting ideas that may be useful for us.

The Renewable Energy Map is something we could do for example and I think is a great way to help us start to really visualise what it might be like.

Hi

I'm sorry but I can't make Weds 12th.
Would like to be involved in the EDAP though.
Did anyone go to the Transition T WElls meeting the other day? Howard Lee from Hadlow College might be a usefull contact, I believe he has some experience of energy use audits, etc.

Mike -- I'd be interested in joining but can't make the 12th (or most wednesdays, for that matter). Sorry....

If you can dream it you can make it start to happen....

This wonderful spoof 14-page "special edition" of the New York Times was circulated free in Manhattan. It was printed in a form that was so high quality that many New Yorkers were nonplussed, and was backed
up by an entire website that equally faithfully mimicked the original.
It has the motto "All the news we hope to print".
