In terms of cultivation, my allotment isn't that great, but it doesn't have sea lavender growing in it ;)

Sorry I didn't get to the meeting on Tuesday; I was in Leiden. How did it go?

All a fraction confusing Mike for the information technology challenged like me but...mmmm...I'll get used to it? Yes, I LOVE your new photo! Wish I knew how to get one of my younger pics like that on the site too! Annette

Hi Mike
No honey yet I'm afraid - the weather hasn't been very kind to the bees so far, except for the warm days last week. I think beekeepers are very concerned to ensure that colonies are really strong, and I for one am rather loath to undertake anything other than a very rudimentary inspection. But Mother Nature's bounty will surely manifest once again at some point (probably after everyone has just got over their hayfever) anyway, I'll let you know.
(Love the photo)

Oil prices rose dramatically today reaching $133.89 at the time of writing. Plus Radio4 news said there could be a 5p rise at the pump by the weekend. What is the point at which we cross the Rubicon and we really take Transition seriously?

Kira who works up at Emerson was thrilled by the fruit activity on Sunday - she told me it all got done - 15 of you and 1 from Em - what a fantastic project alongside the sewing of bags (this Sat at the Community Centre market- all welcome, even if like me you can't sew! - last month we had such a laugh) Transition projects are actually happening - what happens next? will the fruit be turned into something delicious? and by whom? and it may be time to give the bags away for free in the village -
