Yes do send me his details - phone and email please and I'll set him up. Please send me your email too, I use different communcation routes according to how many people I need to talk to each time so people don't get innundated with irrevelevant information!

by the way.... my family was also self-sufficient in the 70s so my childhood was exactly that. Mum even wrote a book about it called Farm Your Garden, though they don't keep animals now. Then I zipped off to University, then abroad and then to London and it's only this year that I have become a gardener, almost overnight (mum tells me that it happens to everyone in the end!). I'm going to move to self-sufficiency (when I've worked out how and where!), starting with a quince orchard. I'm currently writing an article on food for the Forest Row News (August issue) - members of the food & land group are taking it in turns to write a feature on seasonal food and planting, and a seasonal recipe for the month. So if you're interested in doing one, October is up for grabs...!
