Low Carbon Communities Challenge at Brambletye Inn

October 12, 2009 from 8pm to 10pm
The Low Carbon Communities Challenge is a two-year programme to provide financial and advisory support to 20 ‘test-bed’ communities that are seeking to cut carbon emissions, support inward investment and foster community leadership. It looks like a very exciting opportunity to draw down some significant funding for putting in place some nuts and bolts renewables/carbon reduction technologies. The Government is making £10 million available between the 20 successful applicants, and those…See More

Responibility for accidents

I think some cyclists would need to clean up their acts before this stands a chance. Suppose you (cyclist) go through a red light and get injured by a vehicle obeying the signals, how would that square with the proposed Suadi Arabia type of legislation?

Primerily we are accredited for Solar PV but we have teamed up with another local Renewable company whom are accredited for Solar Thermal and heat pumps. We're due to start selling/installing rain water harvesters but i will inform you of when we are going to do this. As we can offer a whole range of renewables, we always target the clients direct needs, unlike an installer of a single product that is just trying to push a sale of that particular product. In Solar PV we only use 2 of the top brand inverters and we use a range of approximatly 6 panel manufactures. We like to use Sharp as they are a fantastic product and they are also built in the UK.
We are completly changing our website at present but we will inform you when it is back up and running. We're talking about having an open day in about 4 - 6 weeks on a clients property so this may be of interest.

Nick,
If you could provide an A4 page in .pdf or as .doc, we could include it in the virtual resources box. We are keen not to be seen as promoting anyone in particular, and we are interested in knowing about the products it's limitations and successes. You r response was a bit non specific.
I'm sure a visit to an installation would be useful, but we need to plan ahead as people have busy diaries!
