I am a documentary filmmaker and yoga teacher. I worked for 25 years in the broadcast TV industry before pulling back and allowing motherhood to take more of a priority. My husband (filmmaker Sean Smith) and my daughter Maia and I moved to Forest Row from Brixton, South London, a year ago. We wanted more green space and a gentler environment for our daughter to grow up in. I am interested in the Transition Town movement and helped make the film about the launch of the Brixton Pound which is on Youtube. Currently, I am making films locally about food - one about my 101-year-old neighbour and how food has changed over her life time and one about natural beekeeping with an Ashurst Wood beekeeper. They are for the website Debate Your Plate, to be launched soon, but I hope also to show my films in the village some time. Please contact me if you would like any advice or help filming local issues, particularly environmental on issues.
