As you know, your MP Charles Hendry MP is a government minister responsible for the Energy Bill which is going through Parliamentary Committee over the next few weeks. The Bill is a crucial opportunity to improve energy efficiency of our housing stock, and to get local authorities playing an ambitious role in cutting carbon. The Sunday Times today has a 1/2 page article in the business section about a report last week from the all party parliamentary group on peak oil and gas.
They recommend tradable personal energy quotas and it contains phrases such as 'we are running into danger. Energy shortages will occur. We do not know when but the event is undoubted and it is not far distant.'
