Review of African Palace Casino
When the words ‘palace’ and ‘casino’ are combined, only one picture is likely to spring to mind. Caesar’s Palace, along with the Bellagio, is possibly the world’s most renowned casino. Even now, decades after it originally opened its doors to the chip-obsessed globe, it continues to outclass all other Las Vegas gambling establishments, and long may it do so.
It’s rather amusing. Numerous addresses have attempted to hijack the Roman-themed symbol, to dethrone it. Numerous others are far more fearsome in terms of style and general offering. Even if you’re simply passing through the MGM Grand, you’ll receive a complete movie experience. Luxor welcomes visitors with a reproduction of the Nile River. And New York New York provides an opportunity to see a small Manhattan skyline. And by minuscule, we mean far taller than many small towns’ highest structures.
By comparison, African Palace does not have quite the same resonance. This is largely due to the long-standing mythology surrounding Africa. Impoverished and incapable of resolving the economic upheaval that marked the second part of the twentieth century on what is sometimes referred to as ‘The Dark Continent’. And yet this is the world’s most resource-rich region, with a civilizational history that predates the bulk of Europe.
As such, it’s unsurprising that the backdrop graphics for African Palace features a gold and diamond-encrusted casino lobby oozing with glitz and splendor. Finally, a representation that defies Western clichés; this alone had us rather excited about the thought of really participating in this online casino. And although we don’t frequently say that—after all, we are online casino reviewers—the bulk of them are just repetitious and uninspired.
A Distinct Viewpoint
After getting over the initial shock of a reference to Africa that isn’t Bono droning on about some new cause he’ll probably realize was actually quite condescending in another five years, it’s safe to say that the first impressions of African Palace are also quite positive from a technical standpoint.
To begin, the center graphic changes periodically to highlight the numerous bargains and offers. To be honest, this isn’t that remarkable; we see this ALL THE TIME. Nonetheless, the way this is seamlessly integrated into the background image – ensuring that transitions feel natural rather than forced – is an impressive piece of design that, while subtle and unnoticeable to those unfamiliar with judging online casinos, is commendable for its subtlety and unnoticeability. Therefore, excellent job.
Above this prominent picture, you’ll see an easily navigable row of menus providing access to other areas of the casino. ‘Getting Started’ contains all of the information you need to get started with African Palace. ‘Promotions’ contains information on the many offers available to new and current members; some of them are identical to the ones ticking by in the center graphic. Certain are not.
Then there’s ‘Games,’ which gives you a taste of the games you’ll be able to play once you’re up and running. Finally, the self-explanatory ‘Banking’, ‘Winners’, ‘Loyalty Program’, ‘Support’, and ‘Privacy’ sections are included. In case there were any questions, it includes information on the banking options for withdrawals and deposits, the most recent winners and their winnings, statistics and numbers about the loyalty program on offer, where to get support, and the privacy statement. To begin, though, let us discuss the ‘Games.’
Everywhere, Temptation
If there is one thing African Palace does not lack, it is opportunities for you to spend—or rather gamble—money. Depending on your skill level in gambling, this may imply the difference between the two.
Progressive jackpot slots are essentially the same as conventional slots, only they include a bonus game and a progressive—that is, accumulating— prize. This implies that while you play, the pot becomes larger and larger, rather than canceling out and resetting for another crack at the championships.
The following game types include Classic Slots and Video Slots, which should be self-explanatory. Classic Slots are similar to one-armed bandits seen in pubs and bars — deposit money, press spin, and hope for some matching rows to get a reward. The video versions are a bit more high-tech, but hardly revolutionary. It’s worth mentioning that there are far better locations to get your slot-related fix than African Palace, but this is a genuine online casino, and the slots, although popular, should be a secondary consideration.
